SimplyKyra Monthly Overview: June 2026
Welcome to the June SimplyKyra Monthly Overview. A once-a-month roundup of app updates, blog highlights, and a few extras from behind the scenes. Nothing too serious, just a cozy way to stay connected. ๐
I know inboxes can get crowded, so this one stays intentionally low-key. If you ever prefer only these monthly summaries (or want to adjust your subscriptions), you can update your settings at the bottom of this email.
๐ก This Month with Me
This last month somehow felt way too short and zipped by. Summer break started here and my schedule feels all shifted and somehow like there's tons of time and yet still none at all.... and yet we go to bed later. I thought Simply TBR would be released the first couple weeks of the month and looking back I laugh at that expectation.
Favorite memory from this month was attending the Shoestring Circus. We heard about it last year for their Art Museum theme and this year's Dreamland was even better. Here's a review by heal.oly.project,

It's touring Washington state and going to Puyallup, Vancouver, Seattle, then Port Townsend next if you're close to any of those area. If so check it out here!
๐ฑ New App!
Simply TBR: Tame the Stack
One calm place to see every book you actually have access to... your NetGalley shelf, Kindle library, Audible audiobooks, Libby loans, physical books, all of it. One stack. Real covers. No more switching between apps to figure out what you own.

This one has been building for a while. I kept bouncing between apps to piece together what I actually had to read... until I realized I needed everything in one visible place.
Simply TBR is now live on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Main app and widgets are free with an optional Connected subscription that unlocks importing from NetGalley, Amazon, Audible, and Libby. The free tier is genuinely useful on its own... Lucky Spin, widgets, notes, Exit Ceremony, all included.

๐ฑ App Updates
Simply Remember It
When did you lastโฆ? Now you know with no second-guessing required.
What started as an accessibility audit checklist item turned into a deeper look at the whole codebase leading to update 2.2.2 with formal accessibility support along with a handful of fixes that came along for the ride.
Simply Customize It
Make your reMarkable truly yours with custom templates and screens.
Early in the month an email from one of you lead to fixing a crash (1.1.1). I then worked on switching over the current sort, group, and filtering available on the browse forms so you could set default values for each time the app opens. I debated waiting until there was something else but a second email pushed the update sooner leading to 1.2.0.
Games
There were no new updates for my other apps, Simply Uncover It and Simply Match It, this month, but I always keep an eye on emails and questions coming inโฆ so feel free to keep them coming!
๐On the Blog
With the new app released and my kids out of school I did't publish very many posts this month. That said I did share a life snapshot looking back at when my physical books became a bit too unruly. This is the quiet start of the origin story for Simply TBR and ends right at the edge of the problem, with books scattered across apps and a pile that's hard to see.

๐ป Coming Up Next
I'm already working on an update for Simply TBR to bring in books from OPDS-supported libraries. Beyond that I'm not quite sure... and Iโd love your input. What do you enjoy most about the apps or website? And what would you like to see improved or added? Just hit reply and let me know!
