Simply Remember It 2.2.2: The Quiet Fixes

This update started as a simple checklist item. I'd been working on accessibility audits across all my apps and wanted to focus on Simply Remember It. That audit, over the month, turned into a deeper look at the code overall, and a few things that needed fixing came along for the ride.

What Changed

Accessibility

If you use VoiceOver, prefer larger text, or rely on reduced motion, Simply Remember It works with that... and now that's officially documented on the App Store page so you can know before you download.

Daily Summary Toggle

Realized there was a bug in a simple Daily Summary toggle when counting metrics. It counted each logged event as a separate day rather than bundling all the day's entries into one. That's fixed now so if you track something like water intake, or really, any habit where repeating in a day genuinely matters the toggle behaves as it should.

Crash and Widget Fixes

Some crash reports came in so I used them as a starting point for a full pass through the app and widget extension to address each risk.

Widget Updates

Then, on the widget side, I continued on and fixed the pie chart display, the next due alignment, and the extra large size on Mac and iPad.

Freemium Fix

While running the app on my phone I realized there was a path, through the widget, where tapping the due task could still open the log sheet past the 80-entry free limit. That's now closed. The limit works consistently now whether you're coming in from the app or from a widget.

A Few Smaller Things

A couple smaller things too. The header in the subscription store view was getting cut off on iPad depending on which plan was displayed. When editing a task the chosen accent color sometimes switched back to the default blue when opening sections with a toggle. Additionally when testing larger fonts the charting time interval was cut off.

All small things, but it looked wrong. And it's now fixed.
