Simply TBR 1.1.4: Catching a Crash

Simply TBR 1.1.4: Catching a Crash

This one started somewhere else entirely... a user in one of my other apps ran into an issue with their data not loading right, and it crashed. Chasing that down led me to a shared piece of code behind several of my apps, Simply TBR included, so I figured it was worth fixing here too.

When Something Breaks

Before this, if the shared data container failed to open for some reason the app would just crash. Something I set up with my first app and never questioned again. Not very helpful for you and honestly not helpful for me either since I'd have no idea it happened. Now there's a catch in place. If it ever does fail, you'll see a window explaining what happened with a button to easily email me the details. No more silent crash, and hopefully less guessing on my end.

And Beyond

Between the last update and this one I'd noticed the alert buttons on the Mac weren't using the app's accent color the way they should. Small thing, but it bugged me every time I saw it, so it's fixed now too.

It's a small one, but the kind of fix that matters more.

If anything feels off, I'd love to hear from you. And like always... I hope you're having a wonderful day!
