Simply Uncover It: Something New to Share
This one snuck up on me a little. I've been working on other things lately and Simply Uncover It has been quietly sitting there... stable and working.
But a few things were bugging me. So I took some time with Claude to audit my code and in doing so started playing the game again and analyzing how everything looked on both my Mac and my phone.
None of it was breaking anything.... but all of it was worth fixing.
Small Updates
Once I started noticing things I couldn't stop so the settings picker got a refresh, the timer on the macOS now shows a black background (had the accent color), and the board is now pushed to the top of the screen. Even the subscription view got some attention and the about page became a bit cleaner.
It's the kind of update that doesn't make for a dramatic changelog... but makes the whole thing feel tighter.
The Fun Part
So I was about to submit this to the App Store and I saw something on Reddit about sharing your result... and I started thinking about my game. So here's something new, that almost didn't get added, but I'm the most proud of right now.
When you finish a game, whether you win or (like me, more often than I'd like) hit a mine, you can now share a snapshot of your results.
It shows your board size, mine count, time, and whether you made it. Clean and simple.
It's not a leaderboard. It's not competitive. It's just a small way to share the moment with someone who might appreciate it.
You can grab the update on the App Store! It's live now on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
And as always, if something feels off or you have feedback, I'm just an email away. And if you play a game (or more) and want to share your score with someone, I'd genuinely love to see it. Tag me or send it my way... it would make my day.
Hope your day is a calm one. 💕
