Why I Built This

I completely forgot about Minesweeper until Paul Hudson did a live stream on Hacking with Swift showing how to build it in SwiftUI. I thoroughly enjoyed coding it... and when my kids spotted me playing they were hooked. I found them asking for it whenever we were out, and I'll admit I used it to distract them the odd time, passing it back and forth between games.

That's when I realized I wanted to share it. Not just a clone though. I started adding the things I always wished I could tweak: board size, colors, icons. The poop emoji mine option was entirely for my youngest.

Simply Uncover It is meant to feel familiar while giving you just enough flexibility to make it yours. A little retro, a little serene. Something you can play in short bursts or while sipping tea.
