Simply Match It 1.1.2: Catching the Issues

While working on a fix for Simply Customize It, I noticed a gap: if the data container failed to open the app would just crash instead of showing a clear error. That sent me back to add the same check to my other apps... and that combined with the minor changes since the last update created this version.

A Softer Landing

If Simply Match It's data container ever fails to open, the app no longer just crashes. You'll see a window with a button to email me the error directly, so instead of a frustrating dead end, you get a way to actually tell me what happened.

And Beyond

A handful of smaller things had be fixed along the way:

  • Subscription and lifetime purchase status sometimes was delayed. It's now recognized right away, matching how another app of mine already handled it.
  • Shared logic across my apps (menus, user settings, subscriptions, etc) got moved into one place which should make future updates smoother.
  • The button to dismiss the keyboard, which only lived on one form in another, is now available everywhere it's needed.
  • Alert buttons now use the correct accent color.
  • Added an acknowledgement for where the original game idea came from, something I'd already shared on the landing page but hadn't credited in the app itself.

Thanks so much for playing Simply Match It! If you have any ideas, suggestions, or just want to say hi, I’d love to hear from you whether by comment below, email at mail@simplykyra.com, or with a review on the App Store.

Happy gaming! Until next time, Kyra šŸ’•
