Simply Customize It 1.4.4: A Lot of Small Things

This one is a patch, but it's a fuller one than usual. A handful of small things were behaving differently than they should have, and once I started pulling on one thread... more came out.

Fixing the Clean Up Button

The clean-up button is meant to clear out excess template images from your app using your just reset reMarkable to see what it needs to keep. It only cleans up matched templates keeping your custom ones safe. That still worked but I recently noticed that some of my templates duplicated when I imported... so I'd clean them up, try again, and they'd be added again. I traced this back to an icon code mismatch that snuck in with an earlier update. That's fixed now, so clean up should behave the way it was always meant to.

Smoother Group Upload & Imports

I noticed when uploading or importing a group of screens sometimes there'd be a hiccup during the process or an issue with a single screen. I confirmed it had a single connection used throughout and then passed on the right error or warning to you if something does go wrong instead of leaving you guessing.

Center Crop on iOS

While testing I picked a landscape image expecting the sides to be cropped off with center cropping. That was the case on my Mac but on my phone it looked off. I've since corrected it so both work as expected.

Photo Picker on macOS

Right before uploading the new build I realized my photo picker wasn't working on Mac. Not sure if this applies to everyone or if it just happened as my computer storage was full... but I switched up the process, it asked me for permission, and I was able to pick... screenshots. Another update to attempt to download the picked photo from iCloud... tries for 30 seconds then lets you now if it can't, and it was golden.

And Beyond

I updated the tooling used to connect and transfer images to and from your reMarkable, noticed that the test connection banner was hidden behind the form when editing the device, and included the subscription and grace period fix that's been rolling out across all of my apps this week.
