Simply Customize It: Rename Fix and Clearer File Info

Thanks to a helpful email (you know who you are thank you!) I just submitted a small update to Simply Customize It that fixes a bug where the Update Name on Device button was no longer working.

What Was Fixed

If you’ve ever edited a template and tapped the Update Name on Device button only to have… nothing happen... this update is for you!

There was a bug preventing the confirmation popup from appearing which meant the rename process couldn’t continue. That’s now fixed.

What Else Is New

While I was in there I realized this would be a great opportunity to make the name update process a bit more transparent. You’ll now see, directly beneath the button:

• The display name that will show on your reMarkable
• The filename used behind the scenes (the name used for your .svg, .png, and/or .template files)

This should help clarify what’s being synced and avoid surprises when checking your reMarkable later.
